Auspicious Days

As expected this auspicious date did not escape from the clutches of chain text messages. I just received one which ended: "this happens only once a century.."

It got me thinking and I made an interesting realization. Every day happens only once a century. Or to be more exact, once in our life. No day repeats itself, and none can certainly come back. Unless someone has made time travelling a reality, then we never can get back a single day in our life. When its done, its done.

Makes you wonder what mark you left on each day that would make it memorable.

On the other hand, we can also breath easier that a whole new day begins everyday that can make up for the not so good days we have. We can rest assured that no matter how bad today is it will end and tomorrow we can start over again.

And of course, there are those days that we wish would never end. Those days that we hope and pray can extend into eternity or at the very least will come more frequently.

So, I say, let's treat each day as an auspicious beginning, to be cherished and lived to the fullest. Let's count our days of good memories and abundant blessings for we never know when it may end.
